With most of the Brain Thrust Mastery tour behind us, we sat down on that dirty stoop beside Sean McVerry and Zeno Pittarelli and “made chat.” It was a monument to firsts: Sean’s and Zeno’s first trip to the U.K.,* W.A.S.’s first time performing as a 5-piece, and everybody’s first time laying eyes (never mind lips) on a Double Pint. We talked British culinary specialties, how musicians learn new songs fast, details of The Meg 2 (no spoilers), plus some other stuff and lots of crap.
If you’re in New York this week, you can catch Sean and Zeno with us at Bowery Ballroom Wednesday for the concluding performance of the Brain Thrust Mastery tour. If you’re not in New York but *do* have internet access, dive into the substantial oeuvre of these fine musicians at SeanMcVerry.com and at Certain Self’s Spotify page.
As the Bible used to say before this part was scrubbed, “Listen with your heart, and you may hear The Earth Bird’s iron quills rustling against your mudbrick walls.”

Keith & Chris
* Historians will not count — and neither will we — the handful of hours a 13-year-old Sean spent in London with his family during a flight layover.
