BUT FIRST… do us a solid and pre-save “What You Want Is Gone,” the new single out tomorrow. Even if you already pre-saved it last week, we ask that you RE-PRE-SAVE, because an errant back-end maneuver by our label seems to have lost all those precious saves.
Why pre-save? It’s not that we actually think you will — or could! EVER! — forget the song is dropping. No, streaming services use pre-saves as prognosticators of TRACK HEAT. Songs with lots of pre-saves are added to playlists, which are one of the big ways music gets discovered nowadays (the other is by being on the Barbie soundtrack).

So convinced I hadn't presaved it correctly yesterday, that I've done it on both my phone and laptop, just to be sure.
As incredible as these streaming services are for listeners, I hate how much of a terrible deal they are for artists. But thanks for letting us know exactly how something like presaving would benefit you guys. These things are less immediately obvious than buying physical records or attending shows.
