Hi, yeah, the summer shows we posted about two days ago? How’s this for follow through: they’re on sale now. BOOM.
This is what’s missing from the music industry today: professionalism. You just don’t see it. Playboi Carti announces his album repeatedly for like two years, stringing us along — when will he drop it? will he drop it today? could it finally be real? — no, you can’t trust the guy.
Taylor Swift tells me about a big huge tour, a show that will have all the new music plus the mid-career bang-blasters, everything about Jake and John and issues of self-worth and fame and how our culture treats women, and YES, sign me up for THAT, I’m IN, when should I— … what? huh? NO TICKETS, THE SITE IS DOWN??!??!
Where did the professionals go? Are they working in A.I.? In Formula One? At Goop?

Listen, when we say we’re playing shows this summer, like we did two days ago? We do it, as STRONGLY suggested by the fact that today we have put tickets on sale. Sure, okay, you won’t know for certain that we’re not amateurs until down-beat, night of the show. But look at that photo. Click on that photo; enlarge it.

It may just be because I now know more people working at the same level of obsession, but it definitely feels like there is even more excitement for these dates than for the original tour. Maybe it’s because they feel like a bonus.
Also, I get to go to Cardiff with my very best friend in the world, who will be seeing you for the first time, so I’m super excited about that. The summer is looking very bright from here! 😎
Looking forward to round 2 more now than round 1 as Round 1 was a bit fussy due to a few too many 😀. But this is on a Friday night so it might be the same.. tickets just booked for Dublin ... oh yeah 😎
