Absolutely agree on the wish for your weirdest, funniest, hottest takes on travel and tour life. Also, maybe some drawings/doodles? What hobbies do you have to unwind and pass the time while travelling? Very curious what your other creative outlets are.
Agree that mundane observations about the weirdness of tour life are welcome. It's a look into a different world for most of us, I imagine. I'm especially curious about how you see us, the fans. In non-tour times, I enjoy the insights on your songs and of course the comedy. You guys are so generous with us, it's hard to think of what more you could offer.
I’m with Lou on this one! Finding it really interesting hearing about life on the road. Am I right in remembering you did a sort of vlog back in 2007 while on a European tour with... want to say it was REM? Lou is also bang on about Gloucester Services, and I’m saying this as a Beaconsfield Services fan (affectionately known as ‘servs’)
Would love to hear your take on the cities you visit. I saw you guys in Birmingham when I was at University there and you talked on stage about going for a curry. Loved that! Any kind words about Birmingham are always welcome. People are often so mean about Birmingham and it’s not on!
So nice to wake up to this this morning. I’m loving the prospect of daily updates, thank you. It must be a fairly daunting undertaking - I’m struggling even to give you a decent suggestion of what to write. I would like to get a sense of what the tour is like for you guys though so maybe fill us in on your highlights each day, those things which break the monotony of motorway travel. (I would recommend Gloucester services on your way down to Bristol btw. It’s a little ray of motorway sunshine ☺️, or maybe that’s just me.) Also, your take on the cities and venues around the country would be great. Fairly obvious suggestions, I know but I’m genuinely interested. What I love most about this substack is how much it makes me laugh so, y’know, do that too.
We love Gloucester Services. Repeat, loyal customers. Only some Italian motorway services rival it, in our experience. NB: there is a sister establishment up north called Teabay Services.

I love Keith’s doodles!

I feel like if you talked beers, music, movies, and snacks--it would be far too obvious. Maybe overdone.
Show us the weirdest shit you see on a daily basis, be it a sign, a mountain, a potato that resembles someone, just anything strange.
Wanna get heartfelt? Share some fun fan encounters, or what made that night’s show or drive special.

Love the Substack! 🖤
Yes! Brum is the best of places. It does not get the recognition it deserves.
Top three downsides to living in London: High rent, gentrification and Birmingham slander.
Lol

Good to know. I’ll bear it in mind when I come up to Kendal in the summer.
