Could you please not scrap What You Do Best on tonight's Bristol gig? I am not one to beg, but this time, I am beginning 🤲. Courage is a lovely song, but WYDB is just such a great song. I don't want to wait until TV 10th anniversary for you to play it live 😂.
Coffee advice, always try to go to the independent spots, usually staff at those are much more welcoming and coffee quality is better.
It looks like this tour is looking lovely for all the nice comments from people; die hard fans and new ones.
CC! I’m a sucker for your songwriting. But I’ve already told you this. Thanks for sharing. Been talking about this with my songwriters group--we’re all so damn stressed we aren’t creating anything original. This eased the nerves hearing it from one of my favorites 💛
It's funny because it's true 😂😂😂 I do love that song so much though. As someone who struggles with anxiety and depression the lyrics are just perfect and live in my head rent free 👌
It strikes me that off the cuff writing at three in the morning is probably not that easy so, firstly, thank you for the effort. It is very much appreciated. Loved your notes on the day, pretty much exactly what I’m looking for from a tour diary. I’m wondering if your vegan drinks were made with aquafaba (chickpea juice)? I think that’s the usual stand in for egg white. I feel like I might have used it to make meringues before.
KC is correct; that video is bonkers. In-flight food isn’t something I’ve ever given much thought to. The scale of it is immense, as is the short shelf-life.
Enjoyed the demo. Excited to know if you found anything from Lobes to share at a later date. Safe travels to Bristol. Looking forward to seeing how you decide to tweak the set list in the end.
Please don't scrap ghouls from your live set! It is such a great opener. Here is my favourite live recording of it, the lights make it 🔥https://youtu.be/r8pxU8bO3LI
Loved the show at Leeds last night! I was stood at the barrier in front of Keith loving every second, especially near the end watching him go one-handed on the guitar whilst downing a beer in the other. I was stood on Chris's side of the stage when I saw you guys in Hull on the Huffy tour, so yesterday I thought it only fair to give Keith some love and stand on his side to make things even again! Next time will have to be dead centre so I can focus on Keith C's epic drum skills. The three of you rocked last night!
I personally loved seeing Ghouls, it was actually my first time seeing it performed live and I love experiencing anything from BTM! Bleach Lab were awesome too! Will definitely check them out some more.
The morning after the show, my girlfriend and I went shopping in Leeds and we went into a record shop in the Corn Exchange called 'Released Records' which we'd recommend. Don't think I can post photos here but we found a pair of signed red and pink Nobody Move... singles signed by both of you and Michael. I of course got them to add to my not-at-all-obessive-W.A.S-collection...
Have a good show tonight and enjoy the rest of your time in the UK!
Gotta say, I love some, nay, all of your acoustic performances. Would be great to see this live to shake things up and rattle some cages (if that’s your kinda thang?)
Thanks for writing on the 'stack every day - it's been great to read what your days are like. I have found the 'creative juices' flow better during the night - it's when I get most of my sewing done.
I really enjoyed the song - would love to hear more tracks whether it be demos or ones that didn't make an album.
Independent coffee shops are the best, like Sofi said - I found one opposite Victoria Bus Station in London, which is excellent: Black Sheep Coffee - Delicious coffee, super friendly staff and there are various locations around the country - including a whole bunch in London and one in Birmingham. Definitely worth checking out!
Have an incredible night in Bristol, I was supposed to be going but I can't get there due to rail works. Please don't scrap Courage, I'd love to hear that live - its one of my favourites!
About two hours before you wrote this fantastic account of your day I was failing miserably at stringing two coherent sentences on a text, so count me thoroughly impressed by your writing abilities! Guess I’ll have to check Dog’s Eye View’s since I quite enjoyed your song!
On a weird note, am I the only one who sees Keith Carne and immediately thinks “Paul Rudd grew a moustache!”?
He also occasionally gets "Matthew McConaughey from True Detective" and just recently a friend pointed out to us that he and Niko from Killing Eve are styled almost identically.

Hope you enjoy tonight's gig at the party 🛥️.
Albaba was that late night spot.
Correct!
This is exactly the quality content I subscribed to this website for. Perfect. Thank you.

Absolutely yes to Dinosaurs
So jealous of everyone who got to hear Courage. I'd probably pass out with excitement if it was played at any of the shows I'm going to ❤️
Wear a helmet!
⛑️⛑️⛑️
We’ll hold you up, don’t worry 😉 Strong chance we’ll both have passed out in the queue before that anyway 😂

Aquafaba it was indeed! Keith confirms.

Can't wait to see you in London on Friday.
Leeds gig was excellent. Ghouls sounded great - it's a brilliant song and wasn't a mistep doing it live.
I wish oh how I wish Return the Favor appeared but it was a setlist jam packed with bangers.
🙌

Black Sheep sounds like a hot tip! Thanks!

You’re in good and plentiful company with the take on Carne’s similarity to Paul Rudd. What would be weird is NOT thinking it.
Do we know for certain they’re not the same guy? Has anyone seen them both in the same room?
I had a little listen when I was not sleeping at 4 this morning. Really reminded me of Counting Crows.
Turns out Dog’s Eye View was “discovered“ by Adam Duritz, who helped get them signed!
Yes!!! Paul Rudd in Anchorman! It’s hard to believe it’s not him once you’ve noticed it 😵💫
He also occasionally gets "Matthew McConaughey from True Detective" and just recently a friend pointed out to us that he and Niko from Killing Eve are styled almost identically.
Well atleast there is always a future for him as a celebrity look-alike if he gets bored of drums...!
