Really enjoying the early morning stoop chat posts, listening on my drive to work makes for a better start to the day. This is despite the fact that the background noises of a bar make me want to go for a pint and not to my office.
Not long to go until to next month (sadly no Paris gig for me) but 4 new songs in a set is something to look forward to.
PLAYING FOUR SONGS FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER IN OUR LIVES!!!!
So excited for tour. Is The Big One a song title or just a descriptor? Going back to mine those 17 minutes for other snippets of information. Thanks, guys!
Thanks! We tried a brand new microphone approach this time — seems like maybe the background was at a tolerable level while still being present, instead of super-loud as it sometimes is when we tape in public…
The balance is good for sure. I was also enjoying the background music. You are right that the background is simultaneously more audible and less overpowering.
I rate the information in this stoop chat five stars on Google maps.
Glad to see Chris survived the weekend!

Bar-based vibes are always a good choice for an album, doubly so for a WAS album. 🍻
It just felt right.

"The Big One" is indeed the name of the song — track 4 on [ALBUM NAME REDACTED].
Would also add that the backing track for this stoop was exceptional. Highly approve of this venue choice.

I love Temkin's so much. A bit of a bizarre, liminal vibe in there which hopefully translates to the album
