New slick video: "I Could Do Much Worse"
We finally got the money to hire an ape 🎥
There we were in Northumberland at the beginning of the now-complete UK run of shows, and we had a free morning before we needed to head into Edinburgh. As is our habit in that predicament, we google mapped “beach.” A spot called Bamburgh came up. We hopped into the van, did a couple of doughnuts in the gravel driveway of our Airbnb, then sped toward the coast.
Imagine our excitement when we found NOT just a beach, with NOT just a castle, but AN APE. Yeah, Bamburgh beach has an ape. Locals know all about it, presumably — the Bamburgh ape — but we were pretty surprised. In all our years of beach-going — Bali, Miami, Santa Monica, the Cote d’Azur — never had we encountered so much as AN ape.
And this one could really dance.
The Casual, Cute Li’l Record Store Tour
We announced this last week and sales have been brisk — the Kingston show, which admittedly is being held in a large shoebox, is sold out. Please scoop up your ticket now if you’d like to attend one of these premium events. Yes, they may be casual, but not at the cost of quality. These events will qualify as premium by any metric.
You can pursue tickets here.
The “Qualifying Miles” tour blooms
This week we also announced some European shows this fall. Yes these will be premium. Tickets are also available in this case (here). We’re excited to get back to a couple of cities we haven’t visited in awhile, and hope to god that citizens of those cities are happy to see us coming.
Readers of this magazine need no introduction to the men Sean McVerry and Zeno Pittarelli. Both play on our new album, and both have played with us live over the last year — to magnificent effect. You may enjoy this video in which Zeno talks about his mix of Sean’s new single…
More soon!
With ❤️ and 🥯,
Keith and Chris
Oh, PS: Our Tour Diaries continue to wow viewers over at the private Backstage Pass website we made ourselves using AI coding assistance. Access comes with all preorders of Qualifying Miles, and with paid subscriptions to this news service. Here are buttons for both of those:
Move over Robbie Williams, there’s a new dancing primate in town
Can't believe you've never heard of this ape??!! To be fair, she's never been captured this cinematically before, so bravo 👏🏼 Attenborough's gonna be so jealous.
