Yay! I was hoping we might get another tour blog so I’m very pleased to see this. I can’t really offer any insights into country music but I am big fan of a lot of old school country songs. They were very much the soundtrack of my childhood and somewhere over the years I have transitioned from hating the damn stuff to really quite enjoying it. This is indoctrination at work!
Anyway, I am super excited to be coming to see you on Friday (we fly out tomorrow!) and I will be tracking the rest of the tour with interest. Travel safely and keep up the good work!
I’ve not been keen on country music most of my life until recently when I’ve found that I’ve moved onto ‘not disliking’ it. My initial lukewarm stance probably stemmed from my late father’s insistence on playing country stations whenever we were in the US years ago so was maybe some half arsed act of rebellion on my part. I’m certainly open to listening to more of it now compared to years ago so will give some of the acts mentioned a listen.
Favorite Countryish Albums; Ween 12 Golden Country Greats, James Iha Let it Come Down, Beck Midnite Vultures, and always had a soft spot for Chris Isaak.
Amazing night on Monday. First time experiencing your live show. Can’t wait to do it again sometime. Thanks for playing I cut my own hair. Have a safe road trip and I hope every show is a success 🤘
I so love the genuine affection you have for each other - your excitement over a TRIPLE THREAT has me thinking tours are just an excuse to have an extended sleepover party with your best pals.
I'm also incredibly curious about who lives in the middle of the Venn diagram of WAS fans and country music lovers. It's never been my genre of choice, but if anyone can recommend a song that will hook me in, it's this crowd. Maybe, if we're really lucky, this will lead to a totally unexpected Great Ape?
SAFE TRAVELS, you precious cargo you. I may have convinced another person to come see you in Salt Lake. I am exerting all my schedule-clearing powers on their behalf.

Lou, I'm jealous. I'm hoping at least we'll get to see some of your gig photos on the FB page.
💯

Those are all great listens, but I'm not sure they fall under the "country" umbrella…

Thanks, Justin! See ya next time!
Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow night! I hope Columbus is treating you well.
Columbus has been a salve so far. We'll be well rested and mentally tuned-up for tonight!

The tours are indeed one long sleepover party for us, yes. And this Great Ape suggestion is a very good one!

Bless you! All we ask is that Chris be able to crowd surf his hometown.
I quite like Wallen, country is a good sound. There's some cool English country artists like The Shires and Ward Thomas. Hope you enjoy your travels!
Well, when are you gonna see flowers? I need commentary.
Not sure. It's a big chunk of a day to fit into a tour schedule, tbh, though we are all keen. More on this story as it develops!
