I'm convinced there's a hard cutoff, age-wise, for Will Ferrell. My 65-year-old mother also hates him, as do all of her older siblings. Yet, they love Adam Sandler. Sociologists should study it.

Pumped to see Sean and Zeno on the upcoming tour! Albeit a touch disappointed there will be no surprise saxophone solos.

Loved this! Was expecting a little more about The Naked Gun itself but I guess a resounding endorsement is good enough. I can’t speak for Keith’s mum obviously but my own mother (74 at time of writing) definitely prefers Adam Sandler to Will Ferrell. She was won over by more sugary films like The Wedding Singer, Click and Bedtime Stories whereas I think she just finds Ferrell creepy. I think he’s just too much of a man child in Elf for her to be able to get on board. It’s a brand of comedy she finds it hard to cope with.

Great to hear you are taking Sean out again and that Zeno is making an appearance this time too.

Sean McVerry is a legend and a great addition to any tour. Hopefully he'll be back in the UK soon.

I'll see what Valerie, aka Mum, (82) has to say about the Ferrell vs Sandler debate amongst the seniors. Although I'm certain she'll decry both them and their films as silly and refuse to take part.

Eileen (77) is Team Ferrell I think. Prefers his camp, slapstick, big man out of place humour of Blades of Glory, Eurovision and Elf. She did enjoy watching the Murder Mystery films, but arguably shes more a fan of Aniston than Sandler. Had to switch over from Uncut Gems after about 10 minutes, too sweary 😬

Keith - Have you considered maybe your mum doesn’t truly love Adam Sandler, she just really can’t stand Will Ferrell with such a passion?

The true test is watching a double bill of Punch Drunk Love and Elf next time you’re home and carefully observing her reactions.

The new album is "lit" and you will never be "cooked". I didnt love lobes out the gate and now its heavy rotation in the Wolf house. Oh, and the Helter Seltzer album has some absolutely sick tracks on it

McVerry, let's go! I joined his bandcamp listening party and was asking him if I'd get to see him in Amherst? Psyched this worked out for y'all!

I also enjoyed The Naked Gun, but could have gone for more Paul Walter Hauser. That dude is gold in cinema.
