Hey, grog squad! It’s a big week! Some would say it’s “the week before the week,” meaning it’s the week before the first week that Qualifying Miles is out — but in some ways this is the more exciting week, y’know? What’s sweeter than anticipation, you guys????
Let’s try to treasure these tense, sickening days before QM drops Friday. We’ve prepared a few treats to help with that…
First, attached please find a full performance of Dead Letters, track 3 off of Here Soon Top Album. We’ll be playing it at the upcoming in-store shows, and we recorded ourselves rehearsing it last week. The performance is ranked “scratchy but charismatic.”
Tomorrow (tonight at midnight, in fact), the last official album preview arrives, in the shape of “The Big One.” Many of you caught this during April/May’s shows — for those who did not, please anticipate a big stomping rocker. (Keith has said it’s his favorite recorded guitar solo.)
Also tomorrow: we spend the evening with the great Jo Whiley. We’re doing a “Sofa Session,” which means we get to hang out for over an hour, play some songs, trade gossip with Jo, whisper occult messaging into our mics, and just have a real nice time. It is recommended to listen in! You can do that worldwide here, at 19:30 BST / 2:30pm EST.
